POOL CLOSED DUE TO ONGOING INVESTIGATIVE WORKS

The Heathcote Swimming Pool is now closed for the remainder of the 2024/2025 swimming season. 

In February, a number of patrons reported safety concerns regarding minor electrical shocks while swimming.  In response to the concerns raised, the pool was closed to undertake investigative works to identify and rectify any issues.

Unfortunately, following a thorough investigation of the pool facility we have failed to find the cause of the issues originally raised by patrons.

We are now looking into other factors outside the actual pool facility in the nearby precinct, that could be causing any problems and affecting the operation of the swimming pool.

As a result of the ongoing investigations, the facility is now closed for the 2024/2025 season.

The City of Greater Bendigo apologises for any inconvenience the investigation may cause and understands the disappointment of pool patrons.  However, the safety and wellbeing of patrons and staff is of the utmost importance.
